I might drop canva for this tbh
I just tried Kodo, a new AI design tool.
It is very easy to use. I created an Instagram carousel and turned it into a poster, all through chatting. You can edit on the fly right in the editor. I love the result.
I got early access to @usekodo and have been testing it recently. The experience was a lot like the first time I used Canva x10. I'm not a designer but suddenly I can make things that look really good.....
this is a genuinely useful app: text to design. amazing what @mlg27_ has done
Design via chatting. This is really impressive
I've been using it as a starting point for my design work and it's been giving me so much inspiration!
YouTube: 2560×1440px (safe zone 1546×423px). LinkedIn: Personal 1584×396px, Company 1128×191px. Facebook: Cover 820×312px, Event 1200×628px. Twitter/X: 1500×500px. Twitch: 1200×480px. Instagram doesn't have banners but Stories are 1080×1920px. Kodo includes presets for all platforms.
Web banners use RGB color at 72-150 DPI, measured in pixels, and must be optimized for fast loading. Print banners use CMYK color at 150-300 DPI (lower for large formats viewed from distance), measured in inches/feet, and require bleed. Kodo exports correctly formatted files for each use case.
Website hero banners typically range from 1920×600px to 1920×1080px (full-screen). Ensure key content stays within 1200px width for mobile responsiveness. Leaderboard ads are 728×90px, and medium rectangles are 300×250px. Kodo designs banners that look great on all screen sizes.
Keep text minimal and readable - banners are glanced at, not read. Use bold headlines, high-contrast colors, and one clear focal point. Include your logo and a call-to-action button for ads. Maintain brand consistency across platforms. Kodo's AI creates attention-grabbing banners that communicate quickly.
For web banners: PNG for graphics with transparency, JPG for photographic banners (smaller file size), GIF for animated banners. For print banners: PDF (vector-preserving), TIFF (high quality raster). Avoid using web formats for print. Kodo exports optimized files for both digital and print.
Yes! Kodo's grand opening banners banner tool is free to use. New users get 40 AI credits once. Each AI-generated design uses 4-12 credits. Manual design tools are always free with no credit limit.
