I might drop canva for this tbh
I just tried Kodo, a new AI design tool.
It is very easy to use. I created an Instagram carousel and turned it into a poster, all through chatting. You can edit on the fly right in the editor. I love the result.
I got early access to @usekodo and have been testing it recently. The experience was a lot like the first time I used Canva x10. I'm not a designer but suddenly I can make things that look really good.....
this is a genuinely useful app: text to design. amazing what @mlg27_ has done
Design via chatting. This is really impressive
I've been using it as a starting point for my design work and it's been giving me so much inspiration!
Standard infographic width is 800-1200px for easy web viewing. Length varies by content - common ratios are 1:4 to 1:6 (width:height). Pinterest-optimized: 735×1102px minimum. For print, use 8.5×11 or 11×17 inches at 300 DPI. Kodo creates infographics optimized for your distribution channel.
Match chart types to data: Bar charts for comparisons, line charts for trends over time, pie charts for proportions (limit to 5-6 segments), icons for statistics (1 icon = X units). Simplify data - don't include everything, highlight key insights. Use consistent colors and labels.
Keep infographics focused: 8-10 data points or sections maximum. If you have more content, create a series rather than one overwhelming graphic. Readers scan top-to-bottom, so front-load the most important information. Average scroll depth is 60-70% of the infographic.
Shareable infographics: Tell a compelling story with data, include surprising statistics, have a clear visual hierarchy, are easy to scan, feature your branding/source, and include share-worthy headlines. Add embed codes for websites. Make the width fit social media requirements.
Always cite your data sources at the bottom of the infographic. Use reputable sources (government data, academic research, industry reports). Include publication dates for time-sensitive data. Avoid manipulating scale or cherry-picking data. Credibility drives shares and backlinks.
